Former football legend David Beckham has apparently irritated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with his comments following King Charles’ speech to the US Congress.
In his speech to Congress, King Charles urged the United States to stand firmly with its Western allies in a warmly received speech Tuesday.
Following King Charles’ speech, a royal expert claimed that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle neither watched the king’s speech live nor afterward.
Insiders told royal expert Rob Shuter that Meghan and Harry didn’t even see it until later.
“He didn’t see it. Not live, not after, not at all,” the source claimed.
“At one time, this would have been unthinkable. Now it has become an issue for them.”
The expert said, and the point was clear: “The distance is no longer symbolic. It is real.”
Amidst this development, David Beckham, who was once very close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, took to social media and apparently teased the royal couple with his statement regarding King Charles’ speech.
David Beckham shared a photo of the monarch, writing: “Powerful and profound speech from our King in Washington DC.”
She further said of King Charles’s US visit, “Following in his mother’s footsteps, showing great leadership and delivering such an important message to the world with remarkable elegance and humor @theroyalfamily.”
Commenting on her post, one fan said, “Agree 100%. Iconic but also courageous and spoke about what matters.”
