Kate Middleton and Prince William have officially confirmed that they have ‘welcoming’ a new member to the Wales family.
They shared the exciting update two days after celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary on April 29.
The royal couple celebrated their special day by sharing a family photo and saying, “Celebrating 15 years of marriage.”
Kensington Palace shared a photo of the new member on Instagram along with a heartfelt comment.
On behalf of the Prince and Princess of Wales, the palace revealed the name of the newest member of the family, who turns one today.
Sharing a photo of their new puppy, a brown cocker spaniel, Kate and William revealed his name is Otto.
Otto is Orla’s son, who was introduced to the family in 2020 by the princess’ brother, James Middleton.
Kensington Palace posted a photo of Otto taken by the princess on social media on Friday morning with a message that read: “Welcome to the family, Otto. Today 1.”
According to reports, Otto made his public debut last June, when he was photographed with Orla and two of the other three puppies.
The photo, which was also taken by the Princess, was released to mark the Prince of Wales’s 43rd birthday.
At the time it was revealed that Kate and William planned to keep one of the puppies, which would have brought great joy to their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, following Kate’s difficult year of cancer treatment.
