The wedding photo of Prince William and Kate Milton has been recognized as one of the best royal photographs ever taken.
The prince and the Prince of Wales, who tied the knot in 2011 and are celebrating their 15th anniversary this week, showed off the ‘best of Britain’ with their wedding photo.
“I’m often asked about my favorite Royal photographs,” photographer Chris Jackson wrote on X, adding that “after 25 years of Royal photography it’s a tough question.”
The expert declared that the wedding photo of William and Kate “I took 15 years ago is there now.”
He said this was “not just because of the history and spectacle of the time, but because it represents a period of excitement and optimism.”
“The preparations for the royal wedding of the current Prince and Princess of Wales were filled with optimism and patriotism,” Jackson said. “Britain at its best!”
Chris Jackson previously told Marie Claire, “You never know what to expect, and what I love about royal photography is that feeling of not knowing and the anticipation. It’s so much fun.”
