Donald Trump is a fan of Kate Middleton and had positive things to say about her during a private interview in the Oval Office.
Royal author Robert Hardman was invited by the President for an off-camera meeting during King Charles and Queen Camilla’s state visit, and he gave his unfiltered opinion about several members of the British royal family.
Hardman, who wrote the much-awaited biography Elizabeth II: Personally. in public. the inside Story.gave details of his conversation to daily Mail.
Trump asked Kate “what she’s doing” before discussing the positive impact she has had on their time together during Donald’s state visit to the United Kingdom last year.
“She’s so great. She was sick, people said weird things about her and she was so brave.” Trump was referring to Kate being out of the public eye by early 2024.
His absence from programs before publicly announcing his cancer diagnosis led to wild conspiracy theories circulating about his whereabouts.
In addition to Kate, Donald is also a fan of her husband Prince William, whom he said “would make a good king.” The US president said, “He’s very nice. A great guy. I like him.”
Donald also looked forward to King Charles and Queen Camilla’s four-day visit to the US, a state visit that marked the 250th anniversary of US independence, as well as eased tensions amid the countries’ disagreements over a number of world issues, including the Russian-Ukrainian war and the conflict in Iran.
The American politician is known to be an admirer of the royal family, especially the late monarch Queen Elizabeth II, and wondered whether Hardman had approved the list of activities that were planned for the monarch and the queen consort.
“We did a good job with the king, didn’t we?” Trump asked the royal expert. “He’s a great guy, he really is.” Although the president has a positive perception of working senior royals, he gave his unfiltered opinion about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during a conversation with Hardman.
“That wife of his. Boy, what has she done to that man,” Trump said. “I think she’s been blocked by William’s wife.”
