- Plex is raising the price of its Remote Watch Pass starting June 1, 2026.
- Since the service originally launched at the introductory price, the increase was expected, but it still means paying more to stream your own media remotely.
- Meanwhile, the price of Plex Pass remains unchanged for now.
Last year, Plex made it so that you no longer need a Plex Pass or Remote Watch Pass to access Plex servers outside your home network. Now, the price of Remote Watch Pass is going to increase from June 1, 2026.

This price increase is actually no surprise, as the service was initially offered at introductory rates. Meanwhile, the price of Plex Pass is not changing. It still costs $6.99 per month and $69.99 for the entire year. The last big price increase for Plex Pass was in March last year, but given the way things are going in the streaming space, we wouldn’t be surprised if Plex Pass is next on the list of rate hikes.
If you want to be immune from future Plex price increases, you should probably choose this A lifetime Plex pass priced at $249.99. This is a huge amount to pay, but at least this way you won’t have to pay more every year for premium features like remote streaming, downloads, and more.
