YouTube TV has been going through several high-profile carriage controversies recently. The most notable result of which was Blackout of Disney-owned channels last year. Moving ahead of another potential controversy, YouTube TV has now reached a deal with Elon Media Group (AMG) to put several networks on the platform.

hollywood reporter YouTube TV and AMG have reportedly renewed their carriage deal. As a result, users won’t have to suffer prolonged blackouts as they did last year when the YouTube TV and Disney deal expired. If you’re unfamiliar with AMG, it owns The Weather Channel, Comedy.TV, Justice Central, Recipe.TV, Automotive.TV, and more.
In response to the deal, CEO Byron Allen had this to say:
We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Google by providing our weather, news, comedy, courts and lifestyle networks to YouTube TV’s millions of subscribers.
Emily Washkowitz, YouTube’s head of TV and film partnerships, also shared a comment:
We are pleased to continue our relationship with Allen Media Group. Our goal is to provide a consistent and diverse lineup for our customers, and this renewed agreement helps us maintain that commitment.
