FC Barcelona clinched their second consecutive LaLiga title by defeating rivals Real Madrid 2–0 in El Clásico at Camp Nou.
Goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres gave Barcelona a 14-point lead at the top of the table with just three matches remaining.
The victory confirmed the club’s 29th La Liga title and marked the second time in league history that a Clásico directly decided the championship race.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was on the touchline despite the announcement of his father’s death shortly before kick-off. Before the match, players of both the teams wore black bands on their arms and kept a minute’s silence.
Barcelona players celebrated on the field after the final whistle, with Flick thanking the supporters and describing the team as a “family” in his post-match interview.
Since replacing Xavi Hernandez in 2024, Flick has now won five trophies with Barcelona, including two league titles and two Spanish Supercups.
The defeat extended Real Madrid’s trophy drought for a second consecutive season, following a difficult campaign in which former coach Xabi Alonso left the club earlier this season.
