Sony unveiled its latest top noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM6, almost a year ago in May 2025. Now it looks like the company is getting ready to introduce a refreshed version – meet Sony’s The Colaxion headphones.
These are believed to be arriving in two colorways, black and white, in the near future. It appears that they have a different hinge compared to the WH-1000XM6, and the cup material may also be different.

The source of these renders claims that the faux leather finish may replace last year’s matte plastic. Of course, there’s a USB-C charging port (on the right cup).
Previous rumors claimed that the ColleXion headphones would be priced at $649. So with that in mind, they’re clearly not meant to replace the WH-1000XM6, but rather act as a more premium alternative. We’ll let you know when we know more about them.
