With this he completed 14000 runs in T20 cricket and became the first Indian player to reach this milestone. He also broke the former record of Chris Gayle by scoring 14000+ runs in just 409* innings in the shortest format of the game.

Moving past 400 runs this season, the former India captain has reached 484 runs while chasing the target against KKR. He is behind only Sunrisers’ Heinrich Klaasen and Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudarshan.
With 400+ runs this season too, the veteran Indian batsman extended his own record in the IPL. He became the first batsman to score 400+ runs in 12 seasons, extending his lead over David Warner, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma.
This century is the ninth century of his IPL career, while he also became the first Indian batsman to score 10 centuries in his T20 career.
