After confirming the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max and teasing its design, Xiaomi has now revealed several key specifications of the smartphone. Although the company has not yet announced the exact launch date, the device is set to launch in China later this month.
Xiaomi confirmed through a teaser on Weibo that the 17 Max will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. The company had earlier revealed that the smartphone will have a 6.9-inch flat display.
The display is said to be the same panel used on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and is claimed to offer visual quality equivalent to a 2K resolution screen.
The Xiaomi 17 Max is also confirmed to have an 8,000mAh battery, although the company has not yet revealed charging details. According to recent rumors, the handset may support 100W wired fast charging.
In terms of camera, the handset will feature a 200MP Leica main rear camera and a periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Notably, rumors suggest that the phone will also come with a 50MP ultrawide.
The Xiaomi 17 Max is already available for pre-order in China and we expect the brand to announce an official launch date in the coming days.
