A royal expert has revealed the reaction from King Charles and other members of the royal family to Meghan Markle’s alleged olive branch on her and Prince Harry’s 8th wedding anniversary.
Meghan apparently offered a subtle olive branch to her father-in-law King Charles on the occasion of their eighth wedding anniversary in California.
Meghan and Harry tied the knot in Windsor on May 19, 2018, and have since had two children; Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In a separate post, Meghan shared a carousel of photos from the ceremony held at Windsor Castle, including one of the newlyweds sharing a tender moment after their nuptials, and another behind-the-scenes photo of the couple having their official wedding photo taken.
The Duchess posted the photos, captioning them: “Eight years ago today.”
Meghan’s father-in-law King Charles is also seen in one photo.
Fans have begun to speculate that the Duchess has apparently extended an olive branch towards the monarch by sharing the photo amid the ongoing family feud.
Amidst this development, royal expert Rob Shuter has shared the reaction of King Charles and the royal family to Meghan’s gesture.
He claimed no senior royals contacted Meghan and Harry, publicly or privately, to mark the occasion.
“There was no phone call, no private message, no peace offering – absolutely nothing,” the source said, adding, “The silence was very deliberate.”
