Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke many records following his record-breaking form in the current season of IPL. Suryavanshi played one of the memorable innings in the history of IPL, regardless of his young age.
Rajasthan Royals chose Vaibhav Suryavanshi as their in-form opening batsman, who was in excellent form and had taken world cricket by storm. He scored a record 175 runs against England in the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup final and helped India achieve a spectacular victory.
Suryavanshi scored 680 runs at a strike rate of 237 after 15 matches in the season. He scored a century and missed a second in the eliminator of the IPL 2026 season.

15 year old cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke the record of his own teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal. Yashasvi Jaiswal, before making his debut for India, made a record by scoring 625 runs for Rajasthan Royals in the 2023 season.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi with his innings of 97 runs took the run count to 680, which is the most runs scored by an Indian uncapped player in the IPL. He now tops the list which also includes players like Riyan Parag, Prabhsimran Singh and the only overseas player like Shaun Marsh among many others.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s new record of hitting six in IPL playoffs
The 15-year-old is the player to hit six consecutive sixes in the history of IPL and has set new standards for himself since joining the IPL setup. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, he has been solely responsible for the great start for the Royals this season.
Suryavanshi has now hit twelve sixes against Sunrisers, the most by a cricketer in a single playoff game. The previous record was held by GT captain Shubman Gill, who hit ten sixes against Mumbai Indians in the 2023 edition.
He features three times in the list of most sixes hit by an Indian batsman during an IPL innings. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has equaled his own record this season against the same opponent during a league-stage clash.

Suryavanshi overtakes Abhishek Sharma in massive IPL records
Vaibhav also equaled Chris Gayle’s record during his innings in the eliminator match of IPL 2026. 15 year old young player Suryavanshi has been successful in hitting more than ten sixes four times in this season of IPL.
Abhishek Sharma is the only Indian star to achieve this feat more than once in the history of the IPL. However, Suryavanshi has now crossed it four times, equaling the record of former RCB great Chris Gayle.
However, Gayle played the IPL at the age of 28 and featured in more than 10 seasons throughout his career, while Suryavanshi is already equaling his record after two seasons.
