If you’re as runway-obsessed as the team at Who What Wear UK, chances are you’re already fully aware of the Spring/Summer 2026 collections. Since they were first shown last September, we’ve seen a Gucci monogram revival, the introduction of Bottega rubber clogs and Loewe’s Amazonia bag has inspired legions of copies, but for those who want to stay a step ahead of the crowd, the Pre-Fall collections remain an untapped resource.
No, not every designer brand shows a Pre-Fall collection, and yes, as the name suggests, these smaller collections fall in the gap between hot summer and the beginning of autumn, so while they’re not meant to be worn just yet, it’s the perfect time to bookmark these transitional heroes for the months to come.
Since summer is just around the corner, you’ll find us happily wearing Lightweight cotton and linen can withstand heatwaves better than any cozy knit and leather. But, if you’re in the business of shopping in advance and saving for a rainy day, you’ll appreciate some of the best pieces coming from the Pre-Fall 2026 collection. Keep scrolling to see the buys that get the fashion editor’s seal of approval — some are viral moments worth waiting for, others are just smart investments, but either way we’re confident, there’s something in the mix you’re guaranteed to love.
1. Chanel Three Quarter Pullover

Style Notes: It’s rare that a Pre-Fall collection garners so much attention that not only is the initial look swept all over social media, but it’s also recreated Also met Gala, but such is the power of Matthew Blazey’s new channel. This simple three-quarter zip and jeans has proven to be such a conversation starter that it’s one of the most memorable moments of Blazey’s career so far, and I think its popularity lies in its comfort and ease. If you’ve been looking for wearables with a luxury feel, this is how Blazey’s take on extraordinary everyday encounters
2. Lowe Layers
Style Notes: Why choose one great outfit when you can wear them all together? According to creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, there’s more Loewe for pre-fall, and stacking layers upon layers is the best way to color block now. Loewe bags are always a hero piece, and Puzzle and Flamenco’s latest iterations are even more special with the layering motif, but the detailing also extends to jackets and knitwear that feel more vibrant in fun color pairings. Oh, and just another note for bag fans – keep an eye out for scarf bags. When it finally succeeds, we predict immediate success.
3. Dior Madeleine

Style Notes: And now, a new symbol from the house of Dior, Jonathan Anderson introduces the Madeleine, an oft-repeated motif you’ll see on everything from flats to belt buckles. Reminiscent of the maison’s formative years and it’s home in Paris, forget the signatures, the medal is Anderson’s instantly recognizable stamp and I imagine it will be as sought after as his other heritage items, the JW Anderson Pierce and Loewe puzzles.
4. Balenciaga Tech Wear

Style Notes: Do you remember last year’s funnel neck jackets? next season Balenciaga is taking sportswear a step further with a small collection of technical jackets, leggings, trainers and caps showcased with XL and XS city bags and sleek, embellished heels. Fear not Balancinga fans, the (in)famous Triple S trainers are still around for another year, but you may also want to keep an eye on the Jet Trainer – a new silhouette set to be popular among fashion-forward sneaker stans.

5.Gucci Savoy Shoe

style notes: If Tom Ford’s Gucci was all about high octane glamour, Giannini’s was modern boho, Michele’s was ‘geek chic’ and De Sarno veered back closer to minimalism; Demna’s era will be marked by its brilliance coupled with its vision. Shiny leather, bodycon fits, reptile skin and fur—Gucci’s richness will be stacked next season, and there’s no room for ballet flats and cardigans. For example, the Savoy shoe, a sharp-pointed shoe that comes as a pump, flat, and boot. Just when the rest of fashion was moving toward practicality and comfort rather than style (think garden obstruction), Demna is pushing back on the agenda.
6.Chloe Paddington

Style Notes: While we anxiously await the release of the peplum belt/mini skirt, which appears in at least 10 of the 35 Pre-Fall looks, the other Chloé accessory that’s loved is the iconic Paddington. We were excited to welcome the noughties classic back with open arms late last year, and it’s clear that Chloé is riding the wave of Paddington nostalgia next season too, now offering wicker, mini and chain bag iterations as well.
