What you need to know
- Thinborn pulled off a classic; It introduced the initial set of Pixel 11 cases, and it has one surprising change: a wider camera bar cutout.
- Of course, nothing has been confirmed by Google – but the wider camera may be to accommodate the rumored Pixel Glow LED lightning.
- Rumors about the Pixel Glow are divided, as some suggest it could be a light bar, while others claim it will be housed inside the bar itself.
Nothing’s official, but that’s not stopping Thinborn from producing a case in preparation for Google’s Pixel 11.
This morning (May 29) ThinBorn shared what it’s preparing for Google’s next flagship series. Funnily enough, and as the company also joked, it’s nothing different. Thinborn may have said that “Google is still Google… they’ve barely changed,” but there’s one big change we can’t stop mentioning: its camera cutout.
Thinborn’s imagery appears to show two Pixel 11 cases. What catches our attention is the phone case on the right, which is slightly wider than the one on the left. Android Central’s Nicholas Sutrich wonders if this wider camera cutout is the reason for the long-rumored “pixel glow” we’ve been hearing about for weeks. assumptions are everywhereEspecially because people are curious about what’s going on.
When the company shared what it was working on, it didn’t specify which case was for which phone. If we had to guess (and this is wild speculation), perhaps the leftmost case is for the Pixel 11, the rightmost case for the Pixel 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL. This would be ideal, but still, nothing has been confirmed yet.
A place to shine?
This isn’t the first time Thinborn has created cases for a rumored phone. it The same was done for Pixel 10 last year. The excitement was real when Thinborn launched its “Super Thin” case collection, which sold out shortly after its reveal. Google didn’t say anything officially, but consumers (and Thinborn) didn’t care. The hype was real, just like this year.
Android Central’s Tech
What Thinborn does is blow our minds. Is this the extra space to accommodate the Pixel Glow or is it due to some camera upgrade that Google is working on. Perhaps a new sensor requires more space – a wider island. Or, we might be getting a brighter light bar just below the camera bar for the two higher-end Pixel 11s. I could sit here all day and speculate… but that sounds exhausting.
Rumors mentioned “pixel glow” with the Googlebook, which was positioned as a nostalgic light bar. We’ve already got the Googlebook and its flashing light bar, and it’s still promoting something similar for the Pixel 11 series. instead of flowing nearby The camera island, which recent rumors claim may sit inside the Pixel Glow device’s bar. It will consist of about eight LEDs assembled to resemble a Nothing’s glyph matrix or bar.
Rumors created a mockup of what it might look like. It showed this small LED array sitting to the right of the flash on the camera bar. On the other hand, we have Google’s I/O 2026, which created a buzz after the Pixel 11 and Pixel Glow were teased in the Gemini segment. The model placed the Pixel phone on its side near a mirror, and the camera bar showed a vibrant light blue glow around its edge.
