King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia led the main event of Armed Forces Day, a large military parade attended by 3,700 personnel, 70 aircraft, over a hundred vehicles and 32 motorcades.
Princess Leonor, who is undergoing her three years of military training at the General Air Academy in San Javier (Murcia), took part in the parade for the first time after her time at the General Military Academy of the Army in Zaragoza and the Naval Military School of MarÃn (Pontevedra).
According to local media, the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles; Chief of Defense Staff (JEMAD), Admiral General Teodoro Esteban López Calderón; Chief of Staff of the Army, General Amador Ensenat y Barea; General Francisco Braco Carbó of the Air and Space Force; and Navy Admiral General Antonio Piñeiro were also present.
