East Office More than a decade after the sitcom ended, stars Craig Robinson and Ellie Kemper have shared where they believe their characters would be today.
The costars were recently at the AT&T Business Small Business Appreciation event in Los Angeles, when Robinson reflected on the future of warehouse worker-turned-businessman Darryl Philbin.
“I think Darryl is very successful,” Robinson explained. People What would be the possible consequences of John Krasinski’s character Jim Halpern leaving Dunder Mifflin to join Athleisure, the sports company founded by John Krasinski on Wednesday, May 27? Robinson said Darryl possibly used his connections to become a sports agent representing prominent athletes.
He said, “He made some amazing connections and is now the agent of many high-profile sports personalities. So we need a lot of him. We have about three or four.”
Kemper also envisions a positive future for receptionist Erin Hannon, who joined the sitcom during its fifth season.
“Yeah, I hope she’s found a partner. And I also think she’ll be working, I think, I’m not sure if she’ll still be working in reception, but hopefully a job in hospitality. I think she tries to make people happy, whatever path that takes,” Kemper said about being in Erin’s life in 2026.
The long-running NBC comedy aired from 2005 to 2013 and remains one of the most popular sitcoms of its era.
During the program, Robinson and Kemper also talked about their continuing friendships with former classmates including Angela Kinsey, Creed Bratton, and Oscar Nunez.
“Well, I think we all, you know, love each other,” Robinson told the magazine about their bond. “It’s a family situation. We don’t get together much, so when we do get together, it’s like, oh, you know, there’s all this happiness and, you know, reminiscing. And it’s really cool. And I think, I don’t know, it endures because, you know, it’s something that everyone can relate to. You know, there’s the heart and the cringe factor in it. You know, everyone’s talking about being embarrassed and being in love. I know.”
Kinsey additionally revealed that many of the cast members still keep in touch through a group chat called “The Office Peeps”, where they regularly share personal updates and memories from their time on the series.
