Kurt Russell recently revealed about leaving Los Angeles and relocating to Colorado with his partner Goldie Hawn.
For those unaware, Russell and Hawn are one of the longest-lived couples in Hollywood, as they have been together since 1983 but have not tied the knot yet. They first met on the set of Disney’s 1966 comedy musical western film The one, real, original family band But they emerged as an official couple when they were shooting for their 1984 film Swing shift.
Russell spoke at the Madison FYC panel in Los Angeles on May 30 People Magazine, where he reflected on his decision to relocate from Los Angeles to Colorado.
The 75-year-old American actor, who owns a log-cabin lodge with Hawn in Colorado, told the outlet that their residence allows them to do “the things I want to do on a day-to-day basis.”
He explained, “What I want to see, what I want to be a part of – all the things that Colorado has to offer. I eventually wanted to get into the ranching life.”
Russell said, referring to his and Hawn’s blended family, “When Goldie and I came together, a few years later, we built a farm where our family grew up. That was 40 years ago.”
He clarified that when he decided to move to Colorado he was not trying to “escape” Los Angeles, saying this was less common in Hollywood at the time.
“I wasn’t running away. I was just living where I live. I was lucky it didn’t really matter. But when I did it, no one else was doing it. I had several people tell me, ‘Okay, it’s goodbye. That’s it.’ I said, ‘Okay, we’ll see,'” tombstone Starr quipped.
It is worth mentioning that Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have one biological child, adding that they have three children from their previous relationships.
