Gemini has recently received some updates, such as the expansion of Personal Intelligence. Don’t look now, but Google is releasing another update for the chatbot. And it’s a change that has a lot of users excited.

Google has it announced Gemini users can now ask the chatbot to generate and package downloadable files directly in conversation. It is capable of generating a wide range of file formats including Word documents, HTML, PDF, XML, Java and others. However, there are some file types that it cannot generate. For example, it appears that Gemini cannot generate transparent PNGs.
This is a big deal because it changes how you can extract information from chatbots. Instead of copying and pasting broken formatting text, you can ask Gemini to neatly pack its results into a PDF or some other type of file. If you’re using Google’s AI for something like vibe coding, this feature will save you some time.
Before you get too excited, some users turned to reddit Point out that there are some issues to be aware of. It appears that the web app crashed for one user who tried to use this feature. Another says the feature doesn’t work for them, whether they’re using the mobile or web app.
