Energy security is again in focus. Oil prices have become more sensitive to geopolitical risks, particularly as conflict in the Middle East and disruption risks around the Strait of Hormuz have increased the risk premium in crude oil prices. Source: Beansprout At the same time, trade tensions and tariffs are pushing governments to place greater emphasis on domestic clean energy, battery production and electrified transportation. This means that EVs and clean energy are no longer just climate-related topics. They are increasingly becoming part of every country’s industrial and national security strategy.
