However, Gigi opened up about how she felt about her appearance in the files, responding to a fan’s comment on an Instagram post she shared on March 29, which called Epstein a “disgusting human being.”
“I had to unfollow you cuz you ain’t talking about those files Gigi,” the fan wrote.
“It’s disgusting to read that someone you’ve never met is talking about you like that. Especially in this context,” the star wrote in a message that now appears to have been deleted. E! news.
Gigi continued to explain that she initially said nothing because “I didn’t want to take away from the stories of his actual victims; but your comment made me realize that maybe it’s not obvious – and it’s important to tell you.”
The catwalk beauty then told fans that even though she “grew up privileged” her parents “protected me and taught me the value of hard work.”
“The same hard work that brought them to this country and gave them their careers,” Gigi said.
The media personality is the daughter of RHOBH alumnus Yolanda Hadid and real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, so, the model explained how she and her younger sister Bella became models in the fashion world.
He noted, “We applied for it and my mother herself brought me to meetings with agencies in NYC just before I turned 18, two of which she was signed to in her career, Marilyns and Ford…”
“I signed with IMG in 2012,” the supermodel added. “And I have worked hard every moment since then.”
“To have names in those files, I think I was 20-21 when he wrote that email, is disturbing, and I want to be very clear that I have never had any relationship with that disgusting person,” Gigi said.
For context, in a December 2015 email exchange, an redacted person wrote to Epstein, “How did the Hadid sisters become models and make so much money?! I don’t understand…”
The convicted sex offender simply replied, “You know,” to which another person wrote, “Dad paid the agency.”
Epstein replied candidly, “No,” adding, “Because they follow instructions, it’s that simple.”
