There was complete chaos on various social media platforms on Friday morning as netizens discovered that Virat Kohli liked a photo of a German vlogger, Lieselz. Fans started trolling the Indian batsman for his online activities.
According to widely published media reports, it was claimed that Virat Kohli had liked a photo of the vlogger and social media influencer on Instagram. Several screenshots of Virat’s professor ‘liking’ Lizzie’s photo went viral. Photographer Advait had first shared the picture of German model Liz Laz in January, which was liked by Virat.
Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has supported Virat Kohli
While fans trolled the star cricketer for his social media activities, Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel supported Kohli amid the controversy. Ameesha claimed that if someone likes a photo then it does not cause any harm.
“Is it a sin to like something? Their life, their Instagram, their choice. People only know how to troll. And it is not just a business. The good thing is to like someone’s good work. Troll karna paap hai, kisi ko like karna nahin (Is it a sin to like something? It’s their life, their Instagram, their choice. People only know how to do it). They have nothing better to do than troll. By liking someone’s good work, it is a sin to like something. Appreciation is a good thing. Trolling is the real wrong thing, not liking someone)”, Ameesha Patel told the paparazzi in Mumbai.
Social media influencers also reacted on this occasion. She was charmed that a high-profile celebrity like Virat Kohli liked her photo.
Lizalz expressed surprise at the whole episode
In an interview with Hindustan Times, he claimed that he was not actually aware that Kohli liked the post.
*It was crazy because I woke up and then I was all over the news”, she said in the interview.
Amidst the controversy and heavy trolling, Virat soon disliked the Instagram post. Due to which Lizzie would have been a little unhappy. They had no idea how this incident became a viral topic among netizens and was then turned into news articles.
The German vlogger said, “I actually felt a little sorry for her! I was so happy that she liked it, but then thinking about it, I felt a little bad for her because I don’t even know how it became such a big story. How people noticed, how they made it news… Maybe that wasn’t her intention behind it, but I’m still grateful for it and I appreciate her support.”
