Reese Witherspoon is hinting at the possibility of ‘Legally Blonde 3’.
The actress, who recently turned 50, hasn’t lost hope for a third installment of the ‘Legally Blonde’ franchise, and told fans that the long-awaited sequel may still happen.
He discussed this possibility in a recent interview stir, Saying, “Absolutely. This is a whole world we want to create with this character.”
Reese, who famously played Elle Woods, believes audiences are still connected to Elle’s life, while she also compared the potential impact of another hit film to that of ‘Barbie’.
“There’s a feeling that women want to unite around these characters that were part of their childhood and celebrate the idea that Elle Woods is more than just pink. She’s part of your identity of self-worth and achievement,” Reese explained.
The actress has been trying to cast the next installment of Legally Blonde for years. In 2015 she asked fans to “Call MGM” during an appearance on ‘Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe’ to help move the project forward.
Furthermore, according to reports, Mindy Collings has already submitted a draft script ahead of the 2024 holidays.
But since then there has been no new update on the progress of the film.
