Goaltender Connor Ingram produced a stellar performance as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Seattle Kraken 3-0 on Tuesday.
Ingram celebrated his 29th birthday with a 27-save shutout, his second of the season, helping Edmonton extend its winning streak to four games.
The Oilers opened the scoring early and maintained control throughout the match. Goals from Max Jones, Kasperi Kapanen and captain Connor McDavid ensured the victory.
Edmonton improves to 38-28-9 on the season and has now won six of its last eight games. The team has also moved closer in the Pacific Division standings, two points behind leader Anaheim and three points ahead of third-place Vegas.
The Oilers have been particularly effective when scoring first, posting a 28-5-5 record in those situations this season.
For Seattle, the loss continues a difficult stretch. The Kraken have now lost six of their last seven games and are out of the wild-card playoff position.
Goaltender Philipp Grubauer made 21 saves for Seattle, but the team struggled to generate enough offense to challenge Edmonton.
