Former Prince Andrew has been accused of making King Charles look like a “complete powerless idiot” after he refused to leave Wood Farm on his Sandringham estate despite being asked to do so.
Recently, it was claimed that Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie wanted to spend Easter at Wood Farm, but could not because Andrew was living there at the time and had refused to move to a permanent residence, Marsh Farm.
Speaking on Andrew’s actions, Mark Dolan said the father of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie was “giving it a big go” despite pressure to leave.
Although Andrew has now reportedly moved to Marsh Farm, his attitude during this new domestic saga has been problematic due to questions being raised over King Charles’s authority.
“I mean, so it’s a ridiculous story, right? He won’t move from Wood Farm. I don’t know what’s going on with Andrew. We know he’s got shocking taste in friends, but it’s ego,” the royal expert said.
Speaking on the Daily Express podcast, he added: “It’s extreme arrogance. And we’re still seeing pictures of him driving around in a Range Rover, making it big.”
To this, journalist JJ Anisiobi, host of the podcast, said, “I think he (Andrew) is making King Charles look like a complete powerless idiot. The king is so kind that he let him stay in one of his many luxurious homes, and Andy said, ‘No, I’m going to stay here for a while longer.'”
Agreeing with his comments, Dolan said, “Why is Charles so impressed by Andrew? Why can’t he crack the whip on him? He’s the big brother.
“He’s the king. But there’s something going on in that family that makes it difficult for him to deal with Andrew comprehensively.”
