The upcoming Android flagship may be getting a bold new look, and you can probably thank Apple

The leaker says it’s based on similar shades they’ve already seen on upcoming prototype flagship Android phones, which are likely scheduled to release later this year or early 2027. DCS also shared a reference image of the tone, suggesting it could be the next standout color in both ecosystems.

Previous rumors have also suggested that Apple is experimenting with deeper, richer colors for its new Pro lineup. If this leak continues, the next iPhone (and Android phones) may look less playful and more premium, with an attractive finish that will stand out without much noise.

With the iPhone 17 Pro, Apple introduced a striking Cosmic Orange colorway to take on a market filled with premium Android phones in safe black, silver, and muted tones. That color became one of Apple’s most popular colors, and Analysts also said This played a significant role in increasing sales of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max in some markets.

It didn’t take long for the color to go viral after Apple released its new iPhones last September, and in the months that followed, many Android brands began adopting the same bright orange finish.
