Following Justin Bieber’s first headlining set at Coachella 2026, Diplo is sharing his comments.
The DJ enjoyed Justin’s 90-minute set which saw him perform tracks from his latest albums along with guest appearances from Kid Laroi, Wizkid, Thames, Dijon and MK.G.
In a recent interview, Diplo praised the fact that Bieber’s set was “fantastic.” People.
“I was surprised he even went (back) to the classics, but the way he played it was amazing,” Diplo told the outlet ahead of the third day of the festival held in Indigo, California.
Praising Bieber’s stint playing old videos of his past hits on YouTube, Diplo said, “No one can go to Coachella and just sit on their laptop and play YouTube because it’s like that – it’s legendary.”
“And he gave it to you a little bit. He was like, ‘I got a lot of hits, here, you get this,'” he continued.
It’s worth mentioning that Bieber also played up some of his past funny videos including him accidentally crashing into a glass door and the ‘Baby’ singer’s recent viral confrontation video “Standing on Business.”
Diplo said that Bieber’s set reflected the pop singer’s authentic personality.
“It was like being at a party with him,” he said.
The DJ shared his thoughts on attending the music festival every year, saying that its lineup is “very diverse”.
He added, “They’ve got everyone from Davido to hardcore techno. Nine Inch Noise was amazing last night. It’s everything for anyone, and you can learn a lot about the music.”
