Gucci makes the silk scarf feel brand new again. The house has launched The Art of Silk campaign, a project curated by Demna that pulls ten iconic designs straight from the Florence archives and repurposes them for now.
Bold prints like Double Trouble, Hard-Wear and Il Gatino return with the kind of energy that makes heritage feel urgent rather than nostalgic. The campaign images are intense and fluid at the same time. Scarves are worn as halter tops, headwraps, and mini-dresses, with each style choice relying on movement and texture.

Gucci partnered with LACMA to create two exclusive Flora scarves in celebration of the museum’s new Los Angeles gallery, adding a cultural dimension that extends beyond the runway.

The stability angle is equally compelling. The silk is sourced from southern Italy, where a new initiative helps local farmers grow organic mulberry trees using renewable energy, while also creating jobs in Calabria.

Art students in Florence who have painted original archival designs are being recognized through a dedicated scholarship program and exhibition. Gucci is treating this collection as something worth preserving, and the results make a solid case.
