crisis? What kind of crisis? Following the Iran War, OCBC’s share price defied all talk of an economic crisis by reaching an all-time high of $23 on 15 April 2026. Year-to-date, OCBC’s share price is up 23.2%, making the counter the best-performing bank stock on the SGX. In my last 2025 article, I discussed the possibility of the OCBC share price exceeding $30 in 2026, driven by its huge $2.5 billion capital return to shareholders. Based on the current pattern of the OCBC share price, it looks like the counter may have a good chance of reaching $30. The explosive form of the OCBC share price over the last 6 months has certainly disappointed many investors as the bank stock has generally lagged behind DBS and UOB.
