This year’s event raised approximately $1.5 million for the Immune Deficiency Foundation. By the time they crossed the finish line, donations had reached nearly $1,470,000, making it again one of the largest donation streams on Twitch.The goal of the event is simple but powerful. This money is used to help people with primary immunodeficiency. Over time, the ride has grown into much more than just cycling. This year’s cyclethon lasted for 15 days. Connor traveled to different parts of Japan while broadcasting the trip live. He was not alone. Connor’s close friend Ironmouse lives with an immune condition. His story has played a big role in shaping this fundraiser and keeping it focused on real impact.The timing of this finale made things even more interesting. The Sidemen Charity Match that same weekend raised over $8 million for charity. This means that two major creator-driven fundraisers were happening at the same time, which shows just how much influence online communities now have when it comes to helping others.Connor kept things simple when speaking to viewers during the final stream. “This is something we build together every year and it’s getting bigger because of all of you,” he said.
