Ukraine stepped up pressure on the Black Sea front by targeting Russian military and energy infrastructure, in a series of fresh attacks in the war that began four years ago. Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 112 Ukrainian drones overnight.GUR, Kiev’s military intelligence, claimed they attacked two large Russian landing ships stationed in Sevastopol Bay in ‘occupied’ Crimea. Ships belonging to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet were targeted in the overnight attack on Sunday.In a separate operation, Ukrainian forces attacked the Tuapse oil refinery for the second time in less than a week, according to Robert Brovdy, commander of the drone forces. The facility, operated by Rosneft, processes about 240,000 barrels of crude oil per day and produces fuels including diesel and naphtha.Russian officials confirmed that the drone attack caused damage to transportation infrastructure at the Tuapse port. Regional Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said one person was killed and another was injured in the latest attack, which also damaged residential buildings, a school, kindergarten, museum and church. This is the second attack on the port city in recent days.The governor said that earlier, a 14-year-old girl and a young woman were killed in a night-time drone strike on April 16.
