Queen Elizabeth II never understood her eldest child’s lifestyle.
Her Majesty, who died in 2022, leaving behind King Charles as her successor, taught that Her Majesty was very pampered.
In the book My Mother and I, royal expert Ingrid Seward revealed: “The Queen never understood Charles’s pampered lifestyle and found it quite mystifying, because by nature Charles is not a selfish person, but his life of procrastination often caused him to stop thinking about others.”
Seward added: “He has no sympathy for minor ailments and fights his sinus problems by sleeping in an oxygen tent. Fatigue or oversleeping are not acceptable excuses for missing an hour of work, and he will never lie down on a Sunday morning, even if he is feeling unwell.”
As Seward put it: “He insists on doing things correctly, and when his childhood teddy bear – who, according to Prince Harry, goes everywhere with his ‘pa’ – needs repair and patching, he sends the teddy to his wife’s fashion designer to be fixed, with instructions to do it quickly so she can get it back.”
