Meghan Markle’s father Thomas Markle has been in the media for many reasons, whether it was the days following her wedding, which he could not see due to health reasons, or because of his constant interviews in the media, or later because of his request for a relationship with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The author in question is royal commentator Tom Bower and he shared all about The Daily Expresso Podcast, even saying, “Her (Meghan’s) father, who is a good man and has been treated very badly, told me about this incident when she was 5 years old.
As for the story, he recalled Mr. Markle reminiscing about his time as a lighting director, saying, “He was a very successful lighting director in Hollywood and he walked her on the red carpet on some opening night.”
“And she said ‘Daddy I want to do this, I want to be a star’. And that’s it, she wanted to be a star. Then she became a star by marrying Harry, a global star, but instead of being happy with it and agreeing to the terms, she was determined that everything should be on her terms.”
For those who don’t know, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met in 2016, and it started as a result of a blind date that soon turned into a fast-paced romance that ended with their marriage barely two years later.
It is said that their first date was around July 2016. That time they met for drinks in London, and according to People their “instant spark” led to them meeting again the next day.
As for privacy, it is said that the pair kept their relationship a secret the entire time she was filming Suits. But after a few months their relationship became public.
