Queen Elizabeth II actually enjoyed a special cottage at her Sandringham estate.
Her Majesty, who died in 2022, praised the town of Wood Farm during a summer in Sandringham.
“He liked the simplicity of Wood Farm,” a royal courtier told the Daily Mail. “For the Duke, it was the light he was best suited to portray, and the proximity to the sea, only a few miles away,”
“The Queen loves carefree – the feeling of being away from it all and being able to walk the dogs whenever she wants.”
“Often when[Prince Philip]and the Queen were out and about when Sandringham was open to the general public or whatever, he and the Queen would stay at Wood Farm, doing their own cleaning, maybe even stocking the dishwasher,” expert Emily Andrews revealed.
