listening to father’s heart
Son, there will be moments of great challenge in this life which will lead you to despair. These times are designed to bring you to your end so that you may experience My grace in ways you never thought possible. I do not always save my sons from the fire of trouble, but I am always among you. There will be times when you will become disappointed with life itself. You are living in a war zone. My adversary wants to destroy you and your destiny. A thief knows nothing except stealing, killing and destroying. I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Therefore, my son, do not be surprised that these times have come upon you (1 Peter 4:12). But take courage that I am always with you. I can give you reason to hope even amidst the greatest challenges.
For, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant of our trouble that happened to us in Asia, that we were burdened too much and beyond our strength, so much so that we despaired of life. Yes, we received the punishment of death in ourselves, so that we do not trust in ourselves, but in God, who raises the dead, and who saved us from such a great death, and will save us; Whom we trust will still save us. 2 Corinthians 1:8-10
