This pant trend with a raffia bag is the new spring outfit

For those who need a refresher on something similar to Bornstein’s idea, the faux bag theory focuses on intentionally completing your look with a bag that contrasts. A simple example, which we see a lot at Who What Wear, is pairing a raffia bag with tailored trousers. One dresser known for embracing this styling technique is Zoe Kravitz. We’ve seen her do it throughout the fall, and she’s continuing to do it in the spring, whether it’s in LA, Rome, or NYC.

Just days before the 2026 Met Gala, Kravitz is set to co-chair the host committee with Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello, she was spotted going to lunch with a friend in NYC. For the occasion, she wore a full look from The Row – a suede shirt-jacket, navy trousers, suede loafers and a raffia tote bag.
