TL;DR
- Motorola has announced daily drops during the Razr 2026 series launch.
- It’s effectively the company’s take on Samsung’s Now Brief, which displays headlines, weather updates, and more.
- This feature can also show Google Photos Memories in your feed.
Samsung introduced Now Brief last year, which provides you with information several times a day with personalized content and suggested actions. However, Motorola is now copying Samsung with its Daily Drops feature.
Don’t want to miss the best of Android Authority?

Motorola announced Daily Drops as part of the launch of its Razr 2026 series, describing the feature as a “personalized content feed that provides daily updates.” The content on display includes news headlines, weather updates and more. The Razer maker says Google Photos Memories is also integrated with Daily Drops, letting you see older photos in your feed.
Motorola has confirmed that the feature is coming to its 2026 Razr Phone, but there’s no word on when or if it will come to other Motorola handsets. Still, we hope this content feed won’t include system ads if it comes to the Moto G series.
We also hope that the company will continue to add new content types and activities in Daily Drops. Ultimately, we were disappointed with the Now Brief feature due to its lack of content and suggested actions at launch. Luckily, Samsung has added several more options since then, including water intake reminders, Spotify and YouTube suggestions, parking spot reminders, and wearable battery alerts.
