Lisa Kudrow recently made some shocking claims about her time on Friends, which has reportedly sparked consternation among her former castmates.
When the actress reflected on her time playing Phoebe Buffay, she admitted that she was overlooked. She claimed that compared to her other castmates such as Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc, she felt like “no one cared”.
Now, insiders have suggested that these comments have not gone unnoticed by the cast, who negotiated a contract together during the show’s run to maintain equal pay and solidarity.
“The cast is very protective of the show’s legacy,” the source told Radar Online.
He added, “They talked together, stood together – that was the whole point. They wanted the story of Friends to be about unity – not division.”
It is pertinent to mention that the situation is said to be sensitive after the death of Matthew Perry, whose demise had a deep impact on the co-stars. Sources claim the Friends cast bond is even “more sacred” after the tragedy.
Despite the tension, tipsters have insisted that a full-scale fight is unlikely. He said there is “a lot of love” for comments that instigate any feud.
