Some big changes are coming to the Fitbit app. The app is not only getting a new design, but it is also being rebranded as Google Health. As you settle into the new experience, you’ll soon be able to transfer all your various fitness data over to Google Fit.
Don’t want to miss the best of Android Authority?

The transition from Fitbit to Google Health is part of the tech giant’s goal to bring all your fitness, health and medical records into one place. Although the Google Fit app isn’t going away, at least not yet, it serves as a hub for health and fitness data collected from various apps and trackers. As a result, it’s packed with information you’ll probably want to bring to Google Health.
You won’t be able to migrate that data right now. However, Google eventually plans to open the option to migrate your historical data from Fit to Health. The company did not offer an exact date, but said the option to migrate this data will become available later this year.
Although the Fitbit app is being rebranded, Google will still sell Fitbit-branded hardware. In fact, the Mountain View-based firm recently launched a display-less WHOOP competitor, the Fitbit Air.
