In celebration of the third anniversary following the coronation of King Charles, Princess Anne attended a ceremony in his honour.
The event in question included a ceremonial gun salute in Hyde Park to commemorate that day three years ago on 6 May 2023.
In addition, the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery also performed their traditional military display before the regiment’s inspection shortly afterwards.
According to a report by gb newSubsequently, the event saw Anne also see “cavalrymen moved from their central London bases to position their artillery pieces within the park for the occasion. The gunners appeared in their typical ceremonial attire, including gold-braided jackets and Busby headwear.”
However, that was not all because as the afternoon approached, a 41-gun royal salute was fired using six 13-pounder field guns of the First World War. The Honorable Artillery Company did something similar but with a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London.
