Quiet luxury finally feels like it’s behind us, which should be great news for all the jewelery fanatics out there. As a society, we went from wearing bizarre twee statement necklaces to layers of beautiful gold chains that had no charm at all. For those of us who loved to wear necklaces, bracelets and earrings, it was a tough time. Terms such as “ear party” and “arm party” that described additional layers of jewelry disappeared from the mainstream.
According to all the major runway shows of the past fashion month, it looks like the party is back. Models wore larger-than-life necklaces, extra-large bracelets and gravity-defying earrings. You just didn’t see the accessories. You can hear them bouncing on the runway.
Below, three of our favorite trends we guarantee all the coolest girls will be wearing this fall.

For some time it seemed as if no one was wearing the necklace. The sheer openness of the neck was enough to stun anyone, considering that most of us spent a large part of 2016 amassing a large collection of beautiful gold chains to layer it all together. There’s bound to be a bit of a resurgence in that look that looks messy in the best way.
At Chloé, models wore striking gold necklaces over high-neck tops. Some may say that a top with a bow tied at the neck would be enough decoration, but what’s more How boho chic than going one step further and throwing a necklace on top? This is a way of layering jewelry that we have never considered before, which adds a lot of charm.

The other extreme is also happening: thick gold necklaces. And when we say chunky, we mean it. Think of necklaces that are so chunky that they can serve as a statue or piece of artwork in your bedroom closet.

By now, you may have noticed a pattern, and that is that all major jewelry trends are virtually the same Big. Pearls have been in and out of trend cycles for many years now. But the latest trends don’t feature friendship bracelets or beaded souvenirs. Instead, it’s a little more mature.
